Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Residency
The three-year residency program is designed to provide advanced clinical training in emergency and critical care medicine to qualify the individual for certification by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. The resident will participate in primary patient care, daily rounds, seminars and student teaching. Time is provided for professional development. The resident will be expected to develop research projects, develop areas of personal interest and to prepare manuscripts for publication. The resident will participate in the clinical teaching of second, third and fourth year veterinary students and interns. The resident will spend 50 percent of their time at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and 50 percent of their time at Tufts Veterinary Emergency Treatment Services in Walpole, Massachusetts.
Externship opportunities
We now offer one week externship opportunities for veterinarians. The focus of these externships can be on case management, pain medicine or equipment and are customized to suit practitioner's interests.
Continuing Education for Private Practitioners
We offer periodic continuing education lectures on different topics pertaining to internal medicine, surgery and ophthalmology at our facility.
