Katie Sakakeeny

Katie Sakakeeny (formerly Katie Foley) moved to MA in 2005 after completing veterinary school at Ohio State University. She completed a rotating small animal internship at Tufts University in Grafton, MA from 2005-2006. Following her internship, she completed a residency in emergency and critical care at Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain, MA from 2006-2009. Katie received her board certification in emergency and critical care in 2009. She worked at Tufts VETS in Walpole for 1 year as an overnight ER doctor following her residency. In 2011 Katie joined the Ethos group at MVRH in Woburn and was a staff criticalist for 4 and 1/2 years. In 2015 she transferred to Boston West in Natick (also part of Ethos) to be a staff criticalist closer to home. Katie re-joined the Tufts VETS team in April 2019 as a staff criticalist.

Katie is married and has 2 children, ages 7 and 5. She currently has 1 cat, Lucy, who she obtained during her internship, and her family just said goodbye to their beloved dog, Red Dog. She enjoys spending time with her family, working out, winter sports, and traveling in her free time.
