TUFTS VETS NOW OFFERS IN-HOUSE COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY!

We are pleased to announce that Tufts VETS now has in-house computed tomography!

Over the next several months, we will assess a preliminary portable unit that uses cutting edge technology, in a small form factor, to provide high speed, multislice CT. As such, the gantry size will be our only limiting factor. We will be able to scan all noses, brains, limbs, and most backs, abdomens and thoraxes.

In the past, we've worked hard to provide our local referring veterinarians and patients a solution to obtain advanced imaging. To this end, we've facilitated in-house transfers of patients for CT and MR to the Foster Hospital for Small Animals at the Tufts campus in Grafton.

We plan to maintain this relationship to provide care for patients that need MR imaging or CT imaging for the extra large patient.

As always, we're happy to discuss any imaging case with you to help determine the next diagnostic steps. If you have any questions about radiographs, ultrasound, MR or our new CT service, please call the Radiology Department at (508)668-5454.

We look forward to working with you-

Ryan King, DVM, DACVR
