Julie Callahan Clark

Dr. Callahan graduated from Cumming’s School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2007. She then completed an internship at New England Animal Medical Center in West Bridgewater Massachusetts followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her residency and achieving board certification in 2011, she stayed at Penn Vet, first as a clinical lecturer and later as faculty in the Internal Medicine Department. In that role she participated in teaching, clinical research and seeing small animal patients. Dr. Callahan's interests include small animal gastroenterology and feline medicine.

As of July 2016, Dr. Callahan returned home to Massachusetts to be closer to family and joined the Internal Medicine staff at Tufts Vets in October 2017.  In 2022, Dr. Callahan accepted the position of Hospital Director and in June of 2025 she completed an executive MBA program from the Quantic School of Business and Technology. She is passionate about progressing the Tufts VETS organization for the betterment of both the internal and external pet loving communities.
