- Dr. Julie Callahan Clark
Julie Callahan Clark, DVM, DACVIM
Dr. Callahan graduated from Cumming’s School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in 2007. She then completed an internship at New England Animal Medical Center in West Bridgewater Massachusetts followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing her residency and achieving board certification in 2011, she stayed at Penn Vet, first a clinical lecturer and later as faculty in the Internal Medicine Department. In that role she participated in teaching, clinical research and seeing small animal patients. Dr. Callahan's interests include small animal gastroenterology and feline medicine, particularly feline inflammatory conditions of the intestine, pancreas and liver. She has published multiple articles in the area of endoscopy and endoscopic procedures as well as canine and feline liver diseases. In a teaching capacity she has lectured on a variety of topics including chronic gastrointestinal disease. As of July, 2016 Dr. Callahan returned home to Massachusetts in order to be closer to family and joined the Internal Medicine staff at Tufts Vets in October 2017.
