Dr. Erica Chávez-Peón

Erica Chávez-Peón, DVM, DACVR

Dr. Chávez-Peón Berle is a Board-Certified Veterinary Radiologist who is originally from Mexico and Norway. She completed her DVM in 2015 and then worked for two years as an Emergency Veterinarian, during this time she developed a strong interest and passion for diagnostic imaging and decided to pursue specialization. She completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship in 2018, followed by a Specialty Diagnostic Imaging Internship in 2019 and then completed a Residency in Diagnostic Imaging at Kansas State University in 2022. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology in October of 2022. After completing her residency Dr. Chávez-Peón Berle joined the Diagnostic Imaging Faculty at Kansas State University as a Clinical Assistant Professor where she provided clinical service, trained Interns, Residents and lectured Veterinary Students.

Dr. Chávez-Peón Berle has authored articles published in VRU, JAVMA and JEPM. She enjoys the diverse multimodal and multispecialty collaborative approach of diagnostic imaging, and is passionate about her profession, whilst collabora6ting with other Specialists and teaching Veterinary Students and House Officers.

During her free time, she enjoys traveling, trying different cuisines, music, art, horseback riding and spending time in the outdoors and at home with her life partner and their four-legged kids (Santo, Café and Gallo).
