
Mina Gergis
DVM
Dr. Mina Gergis originally grew up in Egypt, where he completed his veterinary education before relocating to the United States. He earned certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG), a program administered by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Gergis completed a one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center – West, followed by a second one-year internship focused specifically on emergency surgical care. After completing his internships, he continued working at Angell as an Emergency veterinarian for four years, further deepening his experience in high-acuity cases and collaborative patient care.
Dr. Gergis has a strong clinical interest in trauma cases, critically ill patients, and respiratory emergencies. He also has a special interest in diagnostic imaging, including abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography, and is committed to using advanced diagnostics to support accurate, timely decision-making.
Outside of work, Dr. Gergis enjoys spending time outdoors with his son Benjamin, cooking, playing table tennis, and participating in continuing education to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine.
