Anna Hakey
DVM
Dr. Anna Hakey was born in Vernon, Connecticut, to a military family. She grew up in Boiling Spring Lakes, North Carolina, before returning to Connecticut for her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, achieving a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked at a privately owned practice in North Carolina until August 2021, when she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hakey’s professional interests include exotic/zoological animal medicine and soft tissue surgery, along with emergency and critical care medicine. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hakey enjoys spending her time reading, hiking with her dog Cassie, playing board games, and being at home with her diabetic cat, Merve, and leopard gecko, Lilo.
