Natalie Koons
DVM, DACVS-SA
Dr. Koons received her bachelor’s degree in biology from NYU. She graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. She completed an internship at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists and worked for 4 years in emergency medicine prior to completing her residency at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital. In 2023, Dr. Koons became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons for small animals. Since then, she has worked in MA and CT in referral hospital settings. She joined Tufts VETS in 2026.
Dr. Koons has particular interests in emergency surgery, cranial cruciate ligament disease, and wound management.
Outside of work, Dr. Koons loves spending time with her dogs, particularly swimming with them on the Cape and in ME. She also enjoys growing dahlias and taking in the performing arts.
