Dr. Katherine Rubinstein

Katherine Rubinstein

DVM

Dr. Katherine Rubinstein is from Shenzhen, a tropical city in China. She received her bachelors degrees in Ecology, Behavior and Evolution as well as in English from UCLA, and a master's degree in Conservation Medicine from Tufts University. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. After graduation, she spent three years working in general practice treating small animal and exotic patients, and has been involved in veterinary education in China in the meanwhile. Dr. Rubinstein’s professional interests are zoological and wildlife medicine, and she hopes to help shape the wildlife medicine landscape in her home country. Dr. Rubinstein joined Tufts VETS in 2026.

Dr. Rubinstein practices karate and goes hiking with her husband in her free time. She also enjoys reading, writing, and painting at home in the company of their three cats. She is a native mandarin speaker and is learning French and Hebrew.
