Dr. Jennifer Thomas

Jennifer Thomas DVM, DACVD

Dr. Thomas is a board-certified veterinary dermatologist who graduated from Bridgewater State College prior to obtaining her veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Thomas completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in tick-borne diseases of dogs and cats, while continuing her education as an affiliate with the National Center for Veterinary Parasitology. Dr. Thomas completed her residency training in veterinary dermatology at Animal Dermatology South in New Port Ritchey, Florida (Tampa Bay). While in Florida, Dr. Thomas received extensive training on medical and surgical management of ear disease. She continued to work in both dermatology and general practice prior to returning to Oklahoma State University as Chief of Dermatology. In addition to clinical practice, teaching, and research, Dr. Thomas has published multiple articles and book chapters in dermatologic and immune responses to parasites, ticks, and tick-borne diseases and zoonoses. She continues to help advance the specialty of veterinary dermatology as a member-at-large of the Executive Board of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology, and as one of only five veterinarians to be a full member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Dr. Thomas is excited to return to Massachusetts and begin working with our local veterinarians to develop comprehensive dermatology management plans for allergic skin and ear diseases, immune-medicated / autoimmune skin diseases, as well as feline skin disorders.
