Dr. Meghan E. Vaught obtained her DVM from St. George’s University and completed her clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013. She completed a one-year rotating internship here at Tufts VETS before completing a three-year residency in Emergency & Critical Care at Tufts University in 2017. Dr. Vaught completed and earned board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC) that same year.

Dr. Vaught enjoys all aspects of critical care, however she has particular interest in respiratory disease, mechanical ventilation, polytrauma, toxicities, AKI, coagulopathy, and sepsis. She has completed further training with ultrasound and focused echocardiogram and enjoys incorporating ultrasound into her thorough examination. Her goal is to ensure that the pet parents can rest easy knowing that their pets are being treated like her own family, especially during the most crucial times.
